Did you know that our body uses certain protective mechanisms when the outside temperature falls under 15 degrees so that our core temperature can be maintained? It does this by regulating the so-called shell temperature. This affects all areas of the body that have contact with the outside, i.e. skin, hands, feet, etc. By shaking, for example, the body can prevent the core temperature from falling too quickly when the outside temperature becomes too low. This is absolutely necessary, as a core temperature of below 32 degrees celsius can be life-threatening. But a core temperature that is too high can also be life-threatening. In order to prevent this, you need particularly breathable clothing, even at high sub-zero temperatures, which enables your body to regulate the temperature flow in your body effectively and vitally, even when you are very active. Thanks to our thermal insulations, this is possible in very cold environments and even during heavy physical exertion.
